Md. Hafizul Islam is currently the Lecturer, Department of Chemistry, International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) from 22 January 2024. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (with CGPA 3.74 out of 4.00) and Masters of Science in Organic Chemistry (with CGPA 3.94 out of 4.00) from Chemistry Discipline Khulna University, Khulna, Bangladesh. He was awarded National Science and Technology (NST) fellowship in 2023. He got training from Training Institute for Chemical Industries (TICI) under Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC). He was Cadet Sergeant of Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC), KU Platoon, Sundarbans Regiment. In his student life he was engaged with Rotaract Club of Khulna University, Badhon, Debate club and was also President in Greater Rangpur- Dinajpur Student Welfare Association. He likes to play football, cricket and volleyball. He visited United Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Limited, Chittagong and LafargeHolcim Bangladesh Limited, Mongla. His research interest area is polymer, bio-polymer, proximate composition, protein analysis, fatty acid analysis, material science, and nano-composite. In January 2024 one of his research articles published in Food and Humanity (Elsevier) entitled by Nutritional evaluation of fish scale of selected saline and fresh water fish species (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.foohum.2023.100225). In 2023-2024 he attended four international conferences held on BCSIR, BUET, Rajshahi University and Khulna University. He had been serving at IUBAT as Faculty member in the Department of Chemistry since 22nd January, 2024 as Chemistry Lecturer.
