Tofayel Ahmed

Tofayel Ahmed is currently the Lecturer, Department of Statistics, International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT). He received his Masters of Science in Statistics and Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Department of Statistics, University of Rajshahi, Rajshahi, Bangladesh. During his post-graduation, he completed his M.Sc. thesis entitled "Machine Learning for Big Data Analytics in Lifetime Modeling" and he was honored with the prestigious National Science and Technology (NST) fellowship in 2020-2021 for his contribution to the field. He also awarded Dean’s award from Faculty of science, University of Rajshahi for his meritorious result in B.Sc. His research interest area is Data Science, Bioinformatics, Public Health, lifetime Data Analytics. On December 18-19, 2019 he attended International Conference on Data Science and SDGs: Challenges, Opportunities and Realities, organized by Department of Statistics, University of Rajshahi. In his student life he was engaged with Badhan (A Voluntary Blood Donar’s Organizations) and worked as an IT supervisor in the Population and Housing Census 2022, Which is the 6th census as well as 1st digital census of Bangladesh. He had been serving at IUBAT as Faculty member in the Department of Statistics since 10th October, 2023 as Statistics Lecturer.
